Police are searching for a man wanted for groping a woman inside the Lorimer L train station earlier this month.

The 22-year-old woman was walking up the stairs of the station on the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and Lorimer Street around 10:10 a.m. on June 6. She was approached from behind by the unidentified suspect who then grabbed the woman’s buttocks.

The man then fled the station on foot. The woman was not injured as a result of the incident, police said.

Surveillance camera footage shows the man with black hair wearing a navy t-shirt, a black leather vest and dark pants.

Anyone with information in regards to the identity of the suspect is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at
