Police are searching for a man who attempted to rape a woman in the East Williamsburg/Greenpoint area yesterday morning.
The victim, a 27-year-old, was approached by the attacker from behind at around 2:15 a.m. on Oct. 4 near Richardson Street and Kingsland Avenue, police say.
The attacker shoved her against a wall and removed her underwear in an attempt to rape her. The victim resisted, and was knocked to the ground, where the attacker touched her genitals.
The attacker then fled east on Richardson Street inside a dark colored four-door sedan.
The victim was treated at a nearby hospital.
The suspect is described as dark-skinned, with dark colored clothing and work boots.
He is seen in surveillance video reaching for the victim’s behind. The victim is then seen attempting to kick her attacker away.
