Police are searching for an unidentified man wanted in an attempted robbery in East Williamsburg earlier this month.

On Friday June 7, just after 7 p.m., the 24-year-old victim was entering an apartment building located at 83 Bushwick Pl. when she was pushed from behind by the suspect. The suspect knocked her to the ground and grabbed her cellphone, but then unexpectedly dropped the woman’s phone and fled the location.

No items were taken by the alleged robber and no injuries were reported, police said.

The suspect is seen in surveillance camera footage wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black shorts and black sneakers.

Anyone with information in regards to the identity of the suspect is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com
