Two Hasidic Men Were Harassed in Williamsburg Friday, NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force Investigating

Two Hasidic men were harassed on a Williamsburg street last Friday and the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.

On Friday, Sept 20 at 9 p.m., two Hasidic men were standing on the corner of South 10th Street and Wythe Avenue when two teenage boys approached them and slapped their Shtreimels, religious hats, off their heads before fleeing the scene, according to police.

No injuries were reported. The police released the video, photos and a description of the teens.

The first is described as Hispanic, about 15 years old with a medium build and dark hair. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black track suit jacket with white stripes, white sneakers and a black Rolling Stones t-shirt with a picture of a mouth on the front.

The second is also described as Hispanic, and is about 15 years old with a medium build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black t-shirt and white sneakers.
