Thief Withdraws Over $1,000 From Greenpoint Man’s Bank Account: NYPD

Police are searching for a fraudster who withdrew over $1,000 from a Greenpoint resident’s bank account.

Police announced today that the thief withdrew $1,200 from the 40-year-old victim’s Bank of America account—all the way at 88 Bowery Street in Manhattan—back in December.

The suspect is described as black, approximately 20-30-years-old, with a dark complexion and short, black hair.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
