Thief Steals $300 From Williamsburg Smoothie Shop, Used Pipe as Fake Gun: NYPD

Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole hundreds in cash from a Williamsburg shop with the help of a pipe he used as a fake gun.

Police said the suspect went inside Hawa Smoothies and Bubble Tea at 295A Broadway at around 10:30 a.m. on May 26 and pulled out a pipe he used to simulate a firearm.

The thief then stole around $300 from the register, and left the pipe on the scene before fleeing from the location, police say. No one was injured during the incident.

Police describe the suspect as black, with a bald head, and last seen wearing a white baseball jersey, black pants, and white sneakers.
