A massive food festival will be returning to the waterfront next month in an event with more than 30 participating restaurants.
Taste Williamsburg Greenpoint will mark its ninth year of festivities with a Sept. 16 event scheduled at East River State Park.
The outdoor fest will feature tasting samples from dozens of restaurants, bars, breweries in the two neighborhoods with cuisines spanning from Japanese, Italian, French, American Southern, Mexican, and more. Restaurants include Cafe Colette, Le Gamin, Pies ’N’ Thighs, Zona Rosa Brooklyn, and Barano.
Beer and wine samplings will be offered by locales like Brooklyn Brewery, Greenpoint Beer, and Brooklyn Winery, with coffee and other beverages provided by Blue Bottle Coffee, Champion Coffee, and GuS—Grown-up Soda.
The event, which is expected to feature even more restaurants, will also include live music, dance, and art.
Prices range from $45 for early bird tickets (purchased by Aug. 20) to $85 VIP late bird tickets. Attendees must be 21 and over, or are accompanied by an adult.
Proceeds for the event go to the Firehouse North Brooklyn Community Center, a group working to renovate and operate the former firehouse at 134 Wythe Ave. as a permanent home to Neighbors Allied for Good Growth and The People’s Firehouse and a community center for all.
Taste Williamsburg Greenpoint will take place Sept. 16 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at East River State Park, located at 90 Kent Ave. To purchase tickets, visit the event’s Eventbrite page. For a full list of participating locales, see Taste WG.
