Police are on the lookout for a man who shot an 18-year-old earlier this week on a street bordering Williamsburg and Bushwick.
Police say that on April 9 at around 1:45 a.m., the shooter approached the victim from behind at shot him once in his lower back in the vicinity of Humboldt Street and Montrose Avenue.
The shooter then fled southbound on Humboldt Street, while the 18-year-old was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police say.
Video released by the NYPD shows the suspect running toward the victim, who is walking next to an unidentified person, before firing his gun. The suspect is then seen running the opposite direction with another unidentified person.
The suspect in the shooting is described by NYPD as black, and last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, a dark colored jacket and pants, and white sneakers.
