Police Release Video of Suspect Who Allegedly Clubbed Man With Baseball Bat on Williamsburg Street

The police have released video of a man who allegedly thumped a 58-year old in the head with a baseball bat in Williamsburg Tuesday morning

The suspect approached the victim in the vicinity of River Street and North 3 Street at about 9:35 a.m. on May 1, police said. The victim tried to run away but was chased and knocked to the ground. He was then struck several times with the bat.

The alleged perpetrator fled westbound on North 3 Street, police said. The victim suffered a laceration to the head and bruising to the body. He was treated on scene by EMS.

The suspect is described as black, 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black du-rag, a black jacket with a design on its back, gray and white camouflage pants and gray sneakers. He was walking with two small black dogs.
