NYPD: Trio steal $1,400 bike locked outside Williamsburg apartment complex

A group of three men stole a $1,400 bicycle after picking at its lock outside of a Williamsburg apartment building, police said.

The victim, a 34-year-old male, locked his bicycle in front of 65 Ainslie Street at around 6:20 p.m. on Sept. 6, after which the trio disabled the bike’s lock and wheeled it away, as seen on surveillance video, police said.

The three suspects are described as white males. Two of the suspects are in their late teens or early 20s, and one of them was last seen riding a folding bike wearing a black hoodie long sleeve jacket, gray shorts, red socks, and black sneakers. The other was last seen wearing a blue and black long sleeve jacket, shorts, and dark sneakers. Another suspect, between 20 to 30 years of age, was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve, shorts, and dark sneakers.
