Massive Fire Engulfs Greenpoint Warehouse During Early Hours Friday

A three-alarm fire engulfed a Greenpoint warehouse during the early hours Friday.

The FDNY was called at 2:24 a.m. to battle the flames at 67 Van Dam St., near the Newtown Creek.

The flames quickly grew and it took nearly 140 firefighters to bring the blaze under control by 5:19 a.m.

Two firefighters were taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for minor injuries, according to the FDNY.

No one was inside the warehouse at the time of the fire.

The source of the fire is under investigation.
