Police are searching for a man who punched a 67-year-old man in the face in an unprovoked attack on the L train earlier this month.
The suspect punched the victim as the trained pulled into the Graham Avenue station at around 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, Jan 12, police said.
The assailant then fled the southbound train as the doors opened at the Graham Avenue station and fled on foot in an unknown direction. No words were exchanged during the incident, according to police.
The victim sustained a cut lip, a chipped tooth, and swelling and burning to his left cheek.
Police describe the suspect as black, between 35 and 45 years old, with a medium build.
He was last seen wearing a dark blue coat, dark blue ski cap, dark jeans, white headphones, and carrying a white plastic bag.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
