Man Punched in Back of Head, Unprovoked in Williamsburg: NYPD

Sept. 11, 2019 By Allie Griffin

The NYPD has released surveillance footage of a man wanted in connection with an assault in Williamsburg last month.

On Aug. 21 at 8:30 p.m., a 34-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk at the corner of Graham Avenue and McKibbin Street when an unknown man approached him from behind and punched him in the back of the head, according to police.

The attack was seemingly random; police said there was no previous exchange between the men prior to the incident. The victim refused medical attention.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of this male is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, on Twitter @NYPDTips.
