A family-run Polish meat market in Greenpoint will serve its last customers on Monday, as its owners shut the doors to retire.
Sikorski Meat Market, located at 603 Manhattan Ave., will close Dec. 23 after 45 years in business, according to a note on the store’s website.
The owners will shut both their Greenpoint store and their Bethpage, New York store and retire.
“After 45 years of business we will be closing our stores on December 23, 2019 and retiring,” the note reads. “It has been our pleasure serving you and we thank you for your loyalty and patronage. We will miss you!”
The butcher shop served a full line of Polish delicacies like kielbasa, smoked meats, kiszka, hurka and babka as well as their own cold cuts, breakfast sausages and breads.
The store hours for its last day are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
