Housing applications have come online for affordable apartments in Bushwick.

The 30 apartments up for grabs are at 618 Bushwick Ave., the site of a three-building complex that includes a former Gothic church built in the 1890s. The affordable units are set at 130 percent of the Area Median Income, beginning at $1,997 a month and including studios up to two bedroom units.

Monthly rent for two available studios is pegged at $2,013, and requires an income between $69,018 to $95,030 to qualify.

The bulk of the affordable units are one bedroom, with 12 available at varying rents due to different heating systems.

The lowest rent for a one-bedroom is listed at $1,997 for either one of two people. The combined income for a family of two must be between $68,469 and $108,550 to qualify for this unit.”

The building includes amenities like a laundry room, parking lot, bicycle storage, and a public roof deck, all for additional fees.

The applications are open to all, with a general preference for those who live in New York City and no special preference for Community Board 4 Brooklyn residents. A small percentage of the units, however, will go to mobility-disabled applications and those with vision or hearing disabilities.

To apply, visit Housing Connect online. Applications can also be sent by mail by following the instructions on the housing application flyer.

The development, known as The Saint Marks, is by Cayuga Capital, which bought the property in 2011. Work on gutting out the church and developing the property began in 2013.
