The 10th annual TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint takes place next month and attendees will be able to celebrate the best of Northern Brooklyn’s cuisine and drinks, while raising money for a new community center.
More than 40 top restaurants, bars and merchants from the neighborhood will be joining together for a block-party-style festival and tasting event at East River State Park in Williamsburg on Sunday, Sept 15.
Tickets go on sale today, with early bird tickets starting at $50 for general admission and VIP tickets starting at $100. VIP tickets offer all you can eat and drink, early access to the event and a gifting lounge with seating, while general admission offers eight food ‘tastes’ and unlimited beverages.
Proceeds from the festival will go to the opening of Firehouse North Brooklyn Community Center. The community center is located in the former Engine 212 Firehouse and will serve as a hub for local community organizers. The project is now nearly fully-funded with just $250,000 to go to meet its $2.8 million goal.
Tacocina, Leuca, Barano, Lighthouse, Zona Rosa and Baba’s Pierogies are among the local vendors offering tastings at the festival.
