May 11, 2018 By Nathaly Pesantez

A new 7-story building is in the works for Williamsburg.

The new building would rise to a height of 75 feet at 288 Union Ave. and contain 25 units. The site currently sees a small four-story building.

The development would span just over 17,000 square feet, with all floors holding four apartments except for the seventh floor, which would only contain two, and the first floor, which would have three apartments.

The upcoming building is designed by Diego Aguilera Architects, based in Queens. The property is owned by David Grunfeld, who is also behind a similar development in Bed-Stuy, according to the Real Deal.

The developer did not immediately respond to questions on the project.
