May 24, 2018 By Nathaly Pesantez

A 19-year-old was fatally shot yesterday in Williamsburg in an incident that also saw two other men with gunshot wounds hospitalized, according to police.

Police said they received 911 calls about a man shot near Hewes and S. 3rd Street, and found the 19-year-old victim with a gunshot to the head there at around 12:45 p.m.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Meanwhile, police say a 21-year-old man walked into the 90th Precinct, just two blocks from the shooting site, with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was taken by ambulance to Bellevue Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Another 19-year-old, shot once in the lower back, took himself to Woodhull Hospital, police said. He is also in stable condition.

The identity of the deceased 19-year-old has not been released by the NYPD, pending proper family notification. Multiple news reports, however, say the deceased is a rapper who went under the name Val’Gz.

Police say no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
