19-Year-Old Dead After Gunshot to Head in Williamsburg, 2 More Hospitalized: NYPD

A 19-year-old was fatally shot yesterday in Williamsburg in an incident that also saw two other men with gunshot wounds hospitalized, according to police.

Police said they received 911 calls about a man shot near Hewes and S. 3rd Street, and found the 19-year-old victim with a gunshot to the head there at around 12:45 p.m.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Meanwhile, police say a 21-year-old man walked into the 90th Precinct, just two blocks from the shooting site, with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was taken by ambulance to Bellevue Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Another 19-year-old, shot once in the lower back, took himself to Woodhull Hospital, police said. He is also in stable condition.

The identity of the deceased 19-year-old has not been released by the NYPD, pending proper family notification. Multiple news reports, however, say the deceased is a rapper who went under the name Val’Gz.

Police say no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

no great loss to society. Rapper means high school dropout 8th grade reading level, so dying is street cred. sales will skyrocket this week …….cool
