The development company that owns an empty lot located one block from the Greenpoint waterfront filed plans with the Buildings Dept. yesterday for the construction of a 14 story mixed use building.
The proposed building at 37 West St would rise to 211 feet and house 92 units in its 14 floors. Nine units are planned for floors two through four and six through seven, while floors eight through 14 would be reserved for five units. The fifth floor has the most units out of any floor with 11. The units total 87,434 square feet of space.
A 3,300 square-foot community facility and one apartment will take up the first floor, along with a laundry room, 821 square feet of bicycle storage, and a parking garage with 97 parking spaces.
The Manhattan-based SLCE Architects is the firm behind the site, with notable works including 432 Park Ave and the New School University Center. M&H Realty is the Brooklyn-based developer of the building.
No demolition plans have been filed.
The developer could not be immediately reached for comment.
